Itโs easy to get comfortable when you have a big customer placing huge orders. But if one account makes up 20%, 30%, or more of your revenue, you donโt have a businessโyou have a dependency.
What happens if they switch to another supplier? If they delay payments? If they go out of business?
๐จ One customer’s decision shouldnโt determine your future.
A strong wholesale business spreads its risk. That means:
โ Building a diverse customer base.
โ Never letting one account dictate your pricing or stock decisions.
โ Focusing on repeatable, scalable revenueโnot just one big contract.
Big customers are great if theyโre part of a balanced mix. But if losing one would cripple your business overnight, itโs time to rethink your strategy. Because in wholesale, stability beats short-term winsโevery time.
